Trade-in submissions: shipping address, item details (brand, model, condition), and the answers you provide to the condition questionnaire.
Payment data: for cash payouts we collect the payment details strictly necessary to disburse funds. We do not store full credit card numbers.
Legal acceptance evidence: when you accept our Terms & Conditions, we record the version accepted, timestamp, IP address, and browser user-agent string.
Technical data: standard server logs (IP, request path, timestamp) and cookies used for session authentication.

2. How We Use Your Information

To process trade-in submissions, generate shipping labels, and pay out offers.
To send transactional emails (confirmation, item received, offer approved, dispute notifications).
To prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access to accounts.
To comply with applicable legal and tax obligations.

We share data only with service providers strictly necessary to operate the platform: shipping carriers (e.g. UPS, USPS, FedEx) for label generation and tracking, our email delivery provider for transactional notifications, and payment processors for cash payouts. Account and trade-in records are retained for as long as your account is active and as required to comply with legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Legal-acceptance evidence (T&C version, IP, user-agent) is retained indefinitely as proof of consent.

We use industry-standard measures including HTTPS, password hashing (bcrypt), and access controls to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage you to use a strong, unique password.
